Division of Morris Group, Inc. will make a major announcement at IMTS relevant to Okuma distributors and customers in North America.
July 2, 2012 (Windsor, CT) Velocity Products (www.velocityproducts.com), a division of Morris Group, Inc., will exhibit its exclusive lines of productivity- enhancing tooling and accessories and debut a new line of tooling designed specifically for Okuma lathes at IMTS 2012 in Chicago this fall. Details about the new line of Okuma tooling will be released in a press conference led by Brad Morris, President, and Robert L. Bauer, Vice President of Morris Group, Inc. on Tuesday, September 11th at 8:15 a.m. (CST) in conference room # 503B located in the South Hall of McCormick Place.
Industry press, Okuma staff and customers, and Okuma distributor sales and engineering staff are invited to attend this important product announcement “Anyone with an interest in optimizing the productivity of Okuma’s leading lathe models will want to attend this press conference,” states Bauer.
“At Velocity, we actively search out and bring to market products that help optimize machine tool performance and improve manufacturing productivity,” Bauer says. “We are very excited about introducing the new line of high quality tooling for Okuma lathes at IMTS 2012. As a division of Morris Group-- one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America and supplier of Okuma machine tools-- we recognize what tooling works best with Okuma lathes.”
At Booth S-9410 in the South Hall, Velocity Products will showcase the new line of tooling for Okuma lathes and also introduce a new, patent-pending K Column Modular Clamping and Machining System designed for difficult-to-machine work on horizontal machining centers. The New K Column through-feed tombstone- style workholding solution brings “bar feed technology” to all brands and sizes of horizontal machining centers and will be integrated into an Okuma horizontal machining center in the Okuma booth, according to Bauer.
Also at Booth S-9410, Velocity will display its line of ultra-bright, energy-efficient Velocity LED lights for machine and work area lighting and exhibit the Velocity-Keller TKO Coolant/Oil Separator. Velocity’s popular ultra-bright LED lights utilize standard 110V power and reliably provide up to 35,000 hours of illumination. Designed for the machine tool environment, each light is encased in a single-piece, completely sealed, anodized aluminum enclosure to prevent damage from chips or coolant. Velocity’s lighting products and coolant/oil separator are sold direct by telephone order or online purchase through Velocity Products’ recently opened eBay store.
