Velocity works closely with engineers from Okuma America, Okuma Japan, and Okuma Europe when developing new tool holders. Velocity is also the OEM supplier of startup tool holder kits for Okuma lathes.
Velocity live tool holders are greased for life and run-in at the factory. Internal-coolant live tool holders are pressure tested before shipment, and all live tool holders are CMM inspected with serialized inspection records maintained on file. Velocity live tool holders use oversize output bearings, while spiral bevel gears are machined and lapped in matched sets.
